COUNCIL chiefs say they will monitor noise levels at a Fradley festival after a number of complaints were made.

Wibbly Woods is taking place at Fradley Woods until Sunday (27th July) and features art, disco, funk, techno and reggae.

But a number of complaints have been made to Lichfield District Council after music was heard miles away from the event on Thursday night.

A spokesperson for the local authority said it would monitor the event and take enforcement action if it was required.

> “The council has received around 35 complaints regarding noise from the Wibbly Woods Festival last night.
>
> “The event has taken place every year since 2021 and for the last two years noise levels have been controlled to the extent that disturbance has been minimal.
>
> “That was not the case last night and the environmental health team are liaising with the organisers to prevent further issues.
>
> “We are undertaking noise monitoring throughout the event and should unacceptable levels of noise continue through this weekend Environmental Health will look to take enforcement action and object to any future Wibbly Woods events.”

The council said residents wanting to highlight concerns over noise or disturbance could fill in [an online form](https://www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/home-garden/noise-complaints/5?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) to do so.
