COUNCIL chiefs say residents may experience delays in bin collections due to weather conditions.

Freezing temperatures and snowfall have made some roads difficult to access.

A spokesperson for Lichfield District Council said any missed collections will be rescheduled later in the week.

> “Our teams are out today and will be working where it is safe to do so. If it’s safe for you, please put your bins out as normal.

> “Crews will be trying to empty bins that were missed yesterday and collecting bins due today where roads and pavements are safe to access.

> “For any streets we’re unable to reach, we’ll plan to return later this week, weather permitting.

> “Our online bin calendar will be updated, but please be aware this may change again depending on weather conditions.

> “If your bin isn’t emptied this week, please leave it out for now.

> “Thank you for your patience and understanding while conditions remain difficult, and as we continue to prioritise the safety of our crews and residents.”
