# Council searches for business development experts to help Lichfield and Burntwood firms

Experts in business development are being urged to apply to run a new service helping companies in Lichfield and Burntwood.

Lichfield District Council is looking for an organisation to provide specialist advice between April 2013 and June 2014.

The successful applicant will offer local businesses a information and guidance in areas including:

- business growth and development
- employment growth
- workforce development
- improved access to finance and improve general business skills

Councillor Alan White said: “We’re excited to be launching this new service later in the year, as we know from talking to local entrepreneurs that they are facing tough times in the current economic climate and want more support at a local level.

“Developing our businesses is vital for the economic prosperity of the district. Offering expert, impartial advice and support is a great way to boost businesses locally.

“We are looking for a company that has a track record of working successfully with businesses to apply to lead this advisory service for just over a year.”
