The funeral of a Lichfield man killed after being hit by a train at a level crossing will now go ahead as planned.

Stuart Turner died when he was hit by a train on a level crossing at Barlaston on March 20.

According to a [Facebook group](http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=62806116819) set up in his memory, his funeral had been postponed, but the decision has now been taken to go ahead with the ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, at 11.30am tomorrow (Friday).

Friends have held a collection to buy a floral tribute to the popular former Nether Stowe pupil and his mother Jayne has set up a [charity page on JustGiving](http://www.justgiving.com/jayneturner5?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) in aid of [Impact Young Heroes](http://www.youngheroes.org.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk), which has already raised more than £450.
