The deadline is fast-approaching for projects which improve community safety or reduce crime in Lichfield to apply for grants.

Registered charity PASS (Partners Assuring a Safer Staffordshire) grants small amounts of funds to projects – and the next deadline for people to apply is May 31.

Previous grants have helped set up boxing, football and art projects for youngsters in areas where there was a lack of provision and youngsters could otherwise become involved in anti-social behaviour. PASS have also supported community groups involved in initiatives to secure people’s properties and guard against bogus doorstep callers.

Applications can be made for a maximum of £2,000.

PASS Chief Executive Officer Marie Foskett said:

> “Application forms and further details can be downloaded from the [charity’s website](http://www.pass-staffs.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) or a request can be made for forms by calling the PASS office on 01785 232361.”
