WHITTINGTON suffered a home defeat against Pelsall 2nds.

After opting to bat first, the hosts suffered batting woes as they reached 133-9 with four players failing to register a score.

But Habib Khan offered some crucial resistance as he struck 82 from 68 balls to help his side reach 189 before being bowled out.

Pelsall’s Charlie Dallaway did much of the damage s he finished with 4-47.

The visitors were set a revised target of 104 from 20 overs – a task they were up to as they reached it with room to spare for the loss of just three wickets.
