Lichfield CC lost their top spot in the Staffordshire Club Cricket Championship after going down to Beacon.

They posted a total of 157 in their innings, with opener Dean Price top scoring with 56.

But it wasn’t enough as Beacon passed the total with three wickets to spare.

Hawkins moved top with an eight wicket triumph over Aldridge, while Hammerwich lie second after mustering just 102 with the bat in their ten wicket loss against Swindon.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Pelsall beat Wednesbury and Old Wulfrunians secured a winning draw over Cannock and Rugeley.
