Cllr Ian Pritchard

Cllr Ian Pritchard [follows Conservative colleague Cllr Ben Rayner](//lichfieldlive.co.uk/2019/03/20/conservative-councillor-wont-seek-re-election-and-warns-leadership-is-more-important-than-ever-at-lichfield-district-council/) in deciding he will not stand again.

The deputy leader – who also serves as Cabinet member for economic growth, environment and development services, is currently the representative for the Longdon ward.

He told *Lichfield Live*: “I always intended, election results allowing, to serve three terms of four years on the district council.

“Having extended that by a further four years, I have now decided not to put my name forward for re-election.”

Cllr Pritchard’s departure comes in the wake of a decision to force him to undergo retraining on the councillor code of conduct after [he admitted failing to declare a company directorship](//lichfieldlive.co.uk/2019/01/15/deputy-leader-of-lichfield-district-council-admits-failing-to-declare-directorship-of-development-company/).
