Lichfield rocker Richie Edwards will be appearing at this year’s Download Festival.

The former Darkness bass player is now the front man with Stone Gods.

A message on the [band’s official website](http://www.stonegods.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) today confirmed their appearance at the Donington Park Festival on June 14.

The [statement from the band](http://www.stonegods.co.uk/news.php?nw%5Fid=180&ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) said:

> “We are honoured to be invited back after having such a great time last year, Donington always was and still is the highlight of the rock n roll calendar and we can’t wait to take the stage and rock your faces off!”
