# Drummers to celebrate 30th anniversary with show at the Lichfield Garrick

A SHOW will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a production packed with big beats, visuals treats and high energy.

Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers will be at the Lichfield Garrick on 28th March.

The taiko group have been thrilling audiences around the world for three decades.

A spokesperson said:

> “Taking the audience on a thrilling ride through their 30 years, the concert is a full theatrical experience, with dynamic choreography and heart-pounding rhythms contrasting with atmospheric soundscapes.

> “They return with an electrifying and uplifting performance of skill, stamina and soul.

As well as touring, the performers have also collaborated with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, filmed for the Hollywood movie Tin Soldier in Greece with Jamie Foxx and Robert DeNiro, appeared at the World Expo in Dubai and on BBC TV’s coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.

The spokesperson added:

> “Mugenkyo push the boundaries of the art-form with their genre-crossing collaborations with violin, piano and voice for the BBC World Showcase, with fiddle, tabla and Indian dance for the Edinburgh Mela Festival, with Scottish bagpipes for BBC Scotland and with electronic music at Glastonbury.”
