Elton and David at Drayton Manor Theme Park's zoo

A pair of male monkeys named after a celebrity couple are set to spend their first Valentine’s Day together at a zoo near Lichfield.

Elton and David – named after Elton John and David Furnish – have become inseparable according to keepers at Drayton Manor Theme Park’s zoo.

Colin Bryan, the park’s managing director, said of the spider monkeys:

> “They love to spend their time cuddling and kissing one another. They make a wonderful couple and to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day we plan to give them a special romantic meal.”

People can see Elton and David, along with the other animals, when the zoo and the park’s Thomas Land attraction reopen for the up coming half term holiday (February 19 to 27). Visit [www.draytonmanor.co.uk](http://www.draytonmanor.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) for more information.
