The course for an extreme endurance event near Lichfield has been put through its paces.

The Craft Xtreme Challenge takes place at Catton Hall near Alrewas on February 27 at 10.30am.

But before the athletes take to the course, staff from organisers KP Events have been taking on the course’s obstacles, water features, slippy slopes and tangled undergrowth.

Places are still available in an event that bears a resemblance to the famous Tough Guy event in Wolverhampton, but Paul Griffin of KP Events is keen to point out that the Xtreme Challenge is an event unique to the venue. He explained:

> “Catton Hall is truly a fantastic facility. The five mile course we’ve designed has over 60 challenges for participants to climb, jump, crawl, vault, wade and scale, we think that makes it quite unique in its own right.”
