Textile artworks inspired by Staffordshire landscapes will go on display at a Lichfield museum.

Jo Hill’s pieces will be at from today (7th June) until 18th July.

She draws inspiration for her original textile art from the natural world, often through country walks in Staffordshire.

A spokesperson said:

> “Jo sometimes work in a series, capturing the essence of the landscape – colour, texture and pattern are central to the design process.
>
> “Every piece of work is unique due to the variations in the materials and techniques used.
>
> “The colour palette of her signature style is muted and sophisticated and fabrics are often hand-dyed to achieve the perfect colour.”
>
> “Detailed stitching allows her to really explore the wonderful year-round details that the countryside displays. Hand stitching is also used to add another dimension.”

The exhibition is included within the museum admission fee.
