# Facebook group shares historic images at Lichfield drop-in session

A community drop-in session has seen old pictures of Lichfield go on display.

The images were from members of the popular [‘You’re probably from Lichfield, Staffs if…’ Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/147115742045610/) and the event at the Discovery Hub in Beacon Park welcomed more than 40 visitors.

Dave Gallagher, one of the founding members of the group, said: “Thank you to the parks team for inviting us to be a part of this drop-in session. It was a great chance for visitors to see photos taken of Lichfield over the years, including some lovely shots of Beacon Park.

“Visitors also brought along their own photos and shared their memories with us, which really added to the day. We’re hoping to return with more pictures from our collection soon.”

Community drop-in sessions run at Beacon Park on the last Saturday of every month, with times and locations varying depending on visiting groups.

This month’s session is on March 28 from 11am to 12noon. Officers from Staffordshire Police will be joining the parks team to talk about crime prevention and policing matters.
