Final preparations are underway for the 2016 Lichfield Blues and Jazz Festival.

Performers such as Matt Schofield, Steve Ajao, Rebecca Downes and Kent Duchaine will appear at the event from June 24 to 26.

There will also be appearances from the Birmingham Jazz Orchestra, Callum Roxburgh and local trumpet star Nick Dewhurst.

Seven of the country’s top jazz musicians will combine for a closing performance from the Zappatistas.

Festival organiser Brian Pretty said: “We are delighted to be able to bring such talented musicians to Lichfield, particularly as two of the bands are fronted by local musicians Nick Dewhurst and Callum Roxburgh.”
