# Flittermouse craft session on offer for children at Lichfield museum

Youngsters are being invited to take part in a spooky Halloween craft event at a Lichfield museum.

Children can create a themed mobile during the Fabulous Flittermouse session at the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum between 11am and 2pm on Thursday (November 1).

The workshops are drop-in and cost £2 per child.

Joanne Wilson from the Birthplace Museum said: “Flittermouse is a word used in Johnson’s Dictionary which is a great example of changes in language since his times – we are wondering whether our visitors will have guessed which spooky creature this is, and looking forward to seeing some creepy creations.”

In addition to the activity session, there will be a ‘find the flittermouse’ trail available every day of the week, as well as colouring and dressing up activities. Standard entrance is free and the Museum is open every day of the week from 11am to 3.30pm.
