Les Trumpeter, interim chair of the group, said:

> "I’m really looking forward to launching Lichfield Baggies and bringing West Bromwich Albion supporters together here in Lichfield.
>
> "Supporters’ clubs throughout the country regularly hold events like this, and they’re a fantastic way to bring people together and build friendships within local communities.
>
> "We’re delighted that West Bromwich Albion legend Chris Brunt has agreed to join us for our launch event. We hope it will be a great opportunity for Baggies fans to come along and meet fellow supporters from the area.
>
> "The more community events we can hold for the people of Lichfield, the better. We want to create a welcoming, friendly group for local Albion fans and if the launch is a success we hope to hold similar events more regularly in the future."

The event will take place at The Kingfisher Club on Birmingham Road and is free to attend.
