A FORMER leader of Burntwood Town Council has stood down.

Norma Bacon had represented the Summerfield and All Saints ward, but [a notice on the authority’s website](https://www.burntwood-tc.gov.uk/26-august-2025-notice-of-casual-vacancy-summerfield-and-all-saints-ward/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) confirms a vacancy now exists.

A by-election will be held if ten residents in the area request a vote. If not, then the a new councillor would be co-opted by current members of the town council.
