# Former Lichfield art student to unveil her 100th painting

A former student at Lichfield School of Art is set to unveil her 100th creation.

The covers will come off Rachel Tighe’s landmark painting at the [Arthaus Gallery in Hertfordshire](http://www.arthausgalleries.co.uk/exhibitions/2/Rachel-Tighe---Solo-Show?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) where she is exhibiting from April 6.

Many of her works are inspired by street scenes from across the globe, including Venice, London and New York.

The 100th painting is a milestone for Rachel who admits she is enjoying life with her trusted brushes.

“At the start of the year I took the plunge to become a self employed artist,” she explained. “It has been very daunting but I couldn’t be happier painting everyday.”
