Barrie Cooper

A former Lichfield head teacher has been reported to the General Teaching Council, according to reports.

Ex-Nether Stowe High School principal Barrie Cooper left his job at the West Lakes Academy after teachers lodged a vote of no confidence in his leadership.

Following the move by teachers, Mr Cooper was [suspended](//lichfieldlive.co.uk/2009/05/08/former-nether-stowe-high-school-headteacher-suspended-from-new-post/) and an investigation led to Mr Cooper being given a [reported £45,000 pay-off](//lichfieldlive.co.uk/2009/07/20/report-claims-suspended-former-lichfield-teacher-picked-up-45000-pay-off/) by the flagship school.

But now the [News & Star reports](http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/ex%5Fcumbrian%5Facademy%5Fhead%5Fis%5Freported%5Fto%5Fteaching%5Fcouncil%5F1%5F592649?referrerPath=home&ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) that the board of governors at West Lakes Academy have reported the incident to the General Teaching Council.
