Barrie Cooper

The former headteacher of a Lichfield high school has been suspended from his new role.

Barrie Cooper, who spent four years at Nether Stowe High School, has been suspended from his current job as principal at West Lakes Academy following a vote of no confidence in his leadership from members of the teaching staff.

According to the [News & Star](http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/west%5Fcumbria%5Facademy%5Fschool%5Fboss%5Fsuspended%5F1%5F550515?referrerPath=home&ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) in Cumbria, Mr Cooper and the Academy’s director of business and enterprise are the subject of an investigation after three teaching unions submitted a formal grievance letter.
