# Free taster sessions on offer as part of Lichfield Leisure Centre’s official opening

PEOPLE are being invited to join free taster sessions at the official opening of the new Lichfield Leisure Centre.

The facility at Stychbrook Park has had a soft launch this week, but the ribbon will be officially cut on Friday (9th January).

The new centre features a 25-metre swimming pool, indoor cycling studio, gym, community room, outdoor play area and 3G football pitches. It also offers a full programme of fitness classes.

As part of the official opening from 1pm, a range of free activities are on offer:

| Getin2It Street Dance taster session (For young people aged 8-12 years) | 3.45-4.30pm   | Studio                |
| Getin2it Kickboxing taster session (For young people aged 8-12 years)   | 4.30pm-5.30pm | Studio                |

Cllr Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for leisure and major projects, said:

> “We are thrilled to deliver this fantastic new leisure centre for the district which will benefit residents for many years to come.
