The We Love Lichfield fund has been boosted by a £2,000 donation from Lichfield St Chad Rotary Club.

The cheque was handed over by the organisation’s president David Stainsby to the fund’s chairman Simon Price.

Mr Stainsby said:

> “Due to COVID-19 and the lockdown we have had to cancel our two flagship fundraising events – Rotary Cars in the Park and the Lichfield Cathedral to Tamworth Castle charity run.

> “However, we are delighted to have made this contribution to the fund as we know it supports so many needy groups across Lichfield district.”

Simon added:

> “We are so grateful to our friends at St Chad for this significant donation to the fund.”
