# Fundraisers reach halfway point in walk for Lichfield’s Fuse festival

Three men have reached the halfway stage in their fundraising 192-mile coast to coast walk.

Master stonemason Ian Rowlands, gas engineer Rob Ings and railway engineer Dave Woolcock are taking on the challenge to raise money for Help for Heroes and the free Fuse community arts festival which takes place in Lichfield’s Beacon Park in July.

The trio have been helped along by donations from individuals and groups in the city – including the Queens Head pub which has also backed the Fuse fundraising effort by organising quiz nights.

Fuse Director Tim Perks said:

> “This is a wonderful effort from these walkers and Denise Harvey at the Queens Head to ensure that Fuse – which is now costing £30,000 to run – will be held this year.”
