# Fundraising disco and auction event set to take place in Burntwood

A charity disco and auction is taking place in Burntwood to support the Oncology department at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Th event will take place at St Matthews Sports & Social Club in Burntwood on March 10 – and organisers are appealing for support from the local community and businesses.

A spokesperson said: “We realise we are living in challenging times with the current recession, but any donation, however small, can help us make a big difference in the battle against this terrible disease, which we know affects many families.”

Anyone who can offer a donation of prizes or other support can call 07974 670578\. The same number can also be used to book tickets for the event, costing £3 for adults and £2 for children.
