# Garden centre helps raise thousands of pounds for charity

A GARDEN centre has helped to raise more than £3,000 for charity.

The Dobbies store in Shenstone has supported a wider effort across the company’s outlets to support Alzheimer’s Research UK.

In total, the chain has donated £235,000 to the charity since March 2025.

Claire Astle, general manager of Dobbies’ Shenstone store, said:

> “We truly appreciate everything our colleagues and customers have done to support our partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK over the past year and would like to thank everyone for their involvement.

> “From charity initiatives in-store and our dedicated Christmas Shopping Night, to colleague fundraising challenges, we’ve come together to make a real difference.”

Dr Sheona Scales, director of research at Alzheimer’s Research UK, added:

> “We are incredibly proud to work with Dobbies. This partnership is helping us share the message of brain health while raising vital funds to help end the heartbreak of dementia.”
