# Giant image of missing Lichfield man to be beamed onto building

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Tyler Gardner will carry out anniversary checks this weekend and are continuing to appeal for help to trace him.

Tyler, who is from Lichfield, was last seen leaving the Manitoba nightclub in High Street, Burton, at around 12.35am on Sunday 26 February. He had previously planned to stay with family in Burton that night but he left early. It is believed he had the intention to make his way home.

A number of detectives, officers and Special Constables will be in Burton town and Lichfield city centres this Saturday night, 4 March, making inquiries and identifying possible witnesses.

A large image of Tyler, around 30ft tall, will be projected from Station Street onto a town-centre building in a bid to encourage people to come forward with information. Appeal leaflets will also be handed out around both towns.

Inspector Darren Oakey, from East Staffordshire Local Policing Team, said: “Our investigation into Tyler’s disappearance is ongoing and we are urging anyone with information to come forward. We are hoping that the projected image will jog people’s memory and help us trace Tyler.

“His family are receiving ongoing support from specially trained family liaison officers. Tyler has never been missing before and we are extremely concerned about his well being.

“Numerous officers are involved in the search for Tyler, including colleagues from Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team. We are continuing with extensive CCTV inquiries in Burton and Lichfield and are keeping an open mind about the possibility Tyler could have made it back to Lichfield.

“We want to speak to anyone who saw, or had contact with, Tyler on Saturday night or who may have had contact with him since.

“Anyone who has seen him or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 374 of February 26.”

Tyler is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build and has short blonde hair. He was wearing a blue and white checked long-sleeved shirt and dark jeans.
