# Global interest in Chasetown FC’s friendly with Cardiff City

Chasetown Football Club have received enquiries from across the world for tickets to their pre-season friendly at Cardiff City.

The Scholars are one of a select band of opponents facing the Bluebirds at the new Cardiff City Stadium.

The match is a result of a continuing relationship between the two sides ever since they met in an [historic FA Cup Third Round clash back in 2008](http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa%5Fcup/7163953.stm?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

And Chasetown’s fans look set to make it another day to remember for Charlie Blakemore and his players in the Welsh capital.

A spokesperson for the club said:

> “Ticket sales have gone very well so far and interest this fixture has been worldwide, with enquiries for tickets from Australia and the USA.”
