# Gurkha fundraising event to take place in Lichfield

Lichfield will be paying tribute to the Gurkhas at a charity event in the city.

Organised by Tempest Ford and Lichfield Rugby Club, the night takes place on June 18 at 7.45pm and will raise funds for the [Gurkha Welfare Trust](http://www.gwt.org.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

Tickets to the event are £37.50 and include a three course meal with the main course being a traditional Nepalese curry prepared by chefs from the Brigade of Gurkhas, followed by a programme of entertainment and music.

The event is being held in a large marquee at Lichfield Rugby Club and the ticket price includes two bottles of wine per table of eight.

Organisers are also looking for people to support the event through sponsorship, donation of raffle prizes and promotion of the event.
