# Halloween trail for children in Lichfield’s Beacon Park

Children in Lichfield are being invited to put on their spooky costumes and take part in Beacon Park’s Halloween trail.

The event takes place on October 31 between 5pm and 7pm and will see youngsters wander down Werewolf Walk, explore the Eerie Alcove, and sneak past the Bewitched Bushes to complete the creepy trail and claim their prize.

Ruth Witczak, Beacon Park’s community and educational officer, said: “Witch Wizz’s hair has turned blue and is covered in pretty pink flowers. It’s not very witch like. She wants to turn it back to green, but can’t remember the spell. Children are invited to Beacon Park on Halloween to help Witch Wizz to work out the spell that will turn her hair back to witch-green.”

The event does not need to be booked and children can pick up a spell card for £1 from Witch Wizz at Beacon Park’s Museum Garden entrance on Beacon Street on the night.

The trail is suitable for children aged three and above and all youngsters must be accompanied by an adult. For more information call 01543 308869.
