Lichfield City FC made it a perfect Bank Holiday weekend with a 1-0 win over Stapenhill.

Victory in the Midland Football League Division One came after Saturday’s triumph over Chelmsley Town and leaves Jamie Hawkins’ men joint top of the table.

A first Lichfield goal for Harry Harris was the difference between the two teams on Bank Holiday Monday.

City return to action on Saturday (September 1) when they travel to a Littleton side who sit bottom of the table with no points having conceded 22 goals from their opening six games.
