Accusations of bullying against a former Lichfield headteacher have been dismissed.

Ex-Nether Stowe School head Barrie Cooper left West Lakes Academy in Cumbria and was reported to the General Teaching Council (GTC).

However, [the Cumberland News reports](http://www.cumberlandnews.co.uk/bullying-claims-dismissed-against-cumbrian-headteacher-1.779845?referrerPath=business/business%5Fadvice&ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) that the case against the 54-year-old was thrown out after the members of staff who gave a vote of no confidence in his leadership failed to give evidence to the GTC.

Mr Cooper told the newspaper:

> “I’m obviously relieved and I’m pleased that I’ve got no case to answer.”
