A LOCAL heritage railway is warning visitors not to fall victim to scams.

Chasewater Railway has highlighted scammers conning people into purchasing fake tickets for its popular Santa Specials events.

A spokesperson said:

> “We have been made away that counterfeit tickets have been sold for the Santa Specials. Unfortunately we are not able to honour these tickets, as we are sold out.

> “If you have not booked though our ticket selling website FareHarbor then your tickets are not valid to travel on our Santa trains. Please contact your bank for a refund.”
