Professor Roland Rotherham and Master Chef Simon Smith

Lichfield residents can learn to cook up a treat with a medieval and historical cookery lesson from Professor Roland Rotherham and Master Chef Simon Smith.

The ever-popular cookery from the past sessions return with a special winter-warmer edition on November 6.

It may be getting colder outside but chef Simon and the antiquated epicurean Professor Roland will soon warm you up with a Norman dish of braised oxtail and a super pudding from the Wars of The Roses using oats, wine, raisins and nettles.

Prepare for some surprises in this lighthearted look back at our culinary heritage with Simon guiding you through expert preparation, whilst Professor Rotherham puts it all into historical context. Visitors will have chance to taste the delights of the day and recipe cards will be provided to take away.

Medieval and Historical Cookery: Chilly in the Trussocks takes place at the Lichfield Garrick on November 6 at 12 noon. Tickets, priced £8, are available from the box office on 01543 412121 or [online](http://www.lichfieldgarrick.com/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).
