Visitors got a chance to go behind the scenes to see the new facilities at Lichfield Community Fire Station.

They were able to see crews showcasing their skills in demonstrations and take a guided tour of the site.

Station manager Ruth Watchorn-Rice said: “It was great to see so many people come to visit us at the station for an action packed afternoon.

“We really value this time to meet the community and to show them what we do. The road traffic collision demonstration was a big hit and the children enjoyed taking part in our house fire rescue demonstration.”
