# Junior rugby players boosted by donation to help buy new training equipment

A LOCAL rugby club has received a funding boost that it hopes will make a real difference for young players.

Lichfield RUFC has been awarded £3,000 by Persimmon Homes West Midlands.

The funding will help the club purchase new training equipment.

Stuart Phillips, under 13 coach, said:

> “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Persimmon Homes for their generous donation.

> “The contribution will help us develop our skills, teamwork and sportsmanship

> “We’re grateful for this investment in our young players’ rugby journey and look forward to a successful season.”

Lee Perry, technical director at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said:
