Lichfield Social climbed to the summit of the Lichfield and Walsall District Football League Premier Division with a 3-2 win at former table-toppers Burntwood St Matthews.

They are joined at the top by Pelsall Villa Colts who ground out a 1-0 triumph against Farmer Johns.

Hazelwood Athletic’s miserable season continued in Division One as they went down 3-1 at home to leaders Park Tavern, while Burntwood AFC missed out on the points, losing 3-1 against Trident.

Division Two pace-setters Ros Park continued their march towards the title with a 4-0 victory over Shire Oak, while Chase Terrace Victoria moved into third with a 1-0 win against Paradise Lounge.

Bowman maintained their slender advantage at the head of Division Three with a 3-2 win over Railway Tavern.
