Lichfield-based nursery group Busy Bees has been sold to a Singapore company.

The deal, which has been [reported by the Birmingham Post](http://www.birminghampost.net/birmingham-business/birmingham-business-news/other-uk-business/2009/06/24/busy-bees-nurseries-bought-by-singapore-education-giant-65233-23960369/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk), will see Knowledge Universe education take on the firm’s 131 nurseries.

However, the report claims that the current management team will continue in their roles and be “significant shareholders”.
