# Lichfield business acquires Salads To Go

A Lichfield-based food producer has completed a deal to take control of Salads To Go.

Salad producer Soléco UK, part of the Florette company, acquired the Lancashire-based business for an undisclosed sum.

Trade publication [FreshInfo](http://www.freshinfo.com/index.php?s=n&ss=nd&sid=48525&ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) has reported that the two businesses will continue to run independently from their bases in Skelmersdale and Lichfield.

Mark Newton, managing director of Soléco UK, told [FreshInfo](http://www.freshinfo.com/index.php?s=n&ss=nd&sid=48525&ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk):

> “The prepared salads category has become a mature market, and we firmly believe that the bringing together of Soléco UK and Salads To Go will help the continued development of both companies.”
