# Lichfield Camera Club members explore impact of the changing seasons

Members of Lichfield Camera Club have been exploring the way local areas can provide changing backdrop for their work.

It was part of a project they have undertaken to help develop their skills.

The club, which also runs competitions throughout the year, saw members tasked with examining how changes in the light and different seasons could impact their work.

Graham Slight, from Lichfield Camera Club, said:

For more information visit [www.lichfieldcameraclub.org](http://In addition to its usual programme of club competitions, this season Lichfield Camera club members are being encouraged to undertake a Project to help them develop their skills. The project concept came from, Graham Slight, who liked the idea of getting members to explore a theme over an extended period, exploring how the changes in light during the day and in different seasons contributed to the richness and variety of the images taken. As Graham explained, “Planning is a key part or projects as well as having a clear idea of what one is aiming to achieve. Equally important is using the project as a platform to try put new techniques and to share one’s journey with fellow photographers. Projects can be locally based or further afield if you are able to visit the venue regularly. At the same time one might choose to make a project from a one-off event that takes place during the course of a single day. The possibilities are endless.” To whet the appetite members shared ideas for possible projects at a recent meeting and the images below, taken by Richard Moore at the Woodland Trust’s Pipe Hall Farm, Burntwood, show how somewhere very local can be an excellent source of interesting images.
