# Lichfield Cathedral Dash timetable announced

The timetable has been announced for the Lichfield Cathedral Dash.

Athletes at the start of the 2010 Lichfield Cathedral Dash

The event is set to take place for the 13th time when the runners race around the historic Cathedral on July 16.

And with a range of junior athletes turning out, organiser Kevin Wilson of KP Events is looking forward to the build-up to the Salts Techstep-sponsored event. He said:

> “Everyone knows that the Dash is all about a bunch of quality athletes racing each other and the 12 noon chimes, but from 10am onwards the youngsters of Lichfield and surrounding areas turn Cathedral Close into a race track and have fun running 100m sprints and 400m circuits plus relays to complete the fun.

> “The Dash is unique, not only in the race itself but also in the build up and we’re proud of that.”

The morning also features the return of the Dash Mile sponsored by Keelys Solicitors when an invited field will race around a 1 mile circuit of The Close.

The main dash at 11.59am features a re-run between last year’s winner from Birchfield Harriers James Whitehouse and Cannock and Stafford’s Ashley Wickett.
