Lichfield’s annual Christmas lights switch on has been cancelled due to heavy rain.

The event, due to take place tonight (Thursday 22nd) has now been rescheduled for next Thursday, 29th November.

A number of shops and venues have confirmed they are to remain open despite the news. There will be special offers, food, drink and activities on offer. They include Friary Shoes, Cure, The Spark Cafe Bar, Lichfield Cathedral and The Kitchen Shop.
