# Lichfield churches to host Alpha course group

A new course is offering people the chance to explore the Christian faith.

The [Alpha scheme](http://uk.alpha.org/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) takes place over ten weeks and is free to attend.

More than two million people in the UK have already participated on the course and now two Lichfield churches – Darwin Park Community Church and Wade Street Church – are hosting groups.

Rev Jeff Fry explained:

> “It’s low key, friendly, and fun and there’s no cost. It’s supported by all the main Christian denominations and 11 million people worldwide have already found it to be a worthwhile experience.”
