LICHFIELD City shipped another five goals as their torrid start to the season continued.

Manager Matty Lovatt saw his side thumped 5-1 at home by Hanley Town to leave them without a point after seven games.

That run has also seen them concede a whopping 30 goals, while scoring just seven of their own.

It took just 15 minutes for Hanley to make the breakthrough when Lewis Porter headed home.

A mistake then saw them double the lead ten minutes later as Fin Pattison netted.

There was a rare bright moment for City as Isaac Smart pulled one back after half-an-hour.

Hanley restored their two-goal advantage on 70 minutes when Porter scored with another header.

Max van Der Laan made it 4-1 in the last minute before Porter wrapped up his hat-trick in stoppage time.
