# Lichfield City FC appoint new club captain

Lichfield City FC have appointed Sam Geffen as their new club captain.

Geffen will replace Scott Burnside for the forthcoming season.

A spokesperson for the club said:

> “Sam has the respect of the players and was an ideal candidate for the job.”

Meanwhile, Tom Ivors has also left the club to join Chasetown FC.
