Lichfield City FC are on the lookout for a new manager after Gary Birch stepped down.

Gary Birch

The club confirmed that the former Walsall striker and his assistant Gavin Hurren would not take charge of the Midland Football League side next term.

A statement said: “Everyone at Lichfield City would like to thank Gary and Gavin for all their time and effort in pushing the club forward for the last 18 months and we wish them both every success in the future.”

Their departure comes ahead of City’s Walsall Senior Cup final clash with Rushall Olympic next week.
