Lichfield City FC slipped to tenth in the table after suffering midweek misery at Heather St Johns.

A hat-trick from Michael Wright condemned Jamie Hawkins’ men to a 3-0 defeat.

The result means that with three games remaining City sit three points adrift of Studley and Littleton – the only teams they can catch – in the Midland Football League Division One, but their rivals both have two games in hand.

Lichfield’s remaining fixtures are all on the road, beginning with a trip to Atherstone Town tomorrow (April 28), followed by a visit to Hinckley on May 2\. The season wraps up with a short journey to Bolehall Swifts on May 5.
