LICHFIELD City will host Foley Meir as they kick off their Walsall Senior Cup campaign.

Ivor Green’s men are back in action under the lights at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium this evening (23rd October) against the lower division visitors.

Lichfield were knocked out on penalties in the semi-final of last year’s competition by National League North outfit Rushall Olympic, who went on to win the cup for the third season running.

The hosts go into the game off the back of two consecutive losses and will be hoping to regain some of the form that saw them go on an 11-game winning streak prior to their recent lapse in results.

Meanwhile, Foley Meir lost 4-2 at home to Yaxley in their previous league clash.

The action gets underway at 7.45pm.
