LICHFIELD City's search for a first point of the season will continue when they welcome Hanley Town in midweek.

Matty Lovatt's men have endured a torrid start to the season that has seen them dumped out of two cups and lose all six of their league encounters so far.

The City boss will know he needs to find solutions to a defence that has conceded 25 goals so far in the Northern Premier League West Division.

But a 5-0 loss last time out at Stalybridge Celtic piled more misery on the Lichfield squad after goalkeeper Tom Carter and midfielder John Mills were both sent off.

Visitors Hanley Town have had more joy so far this season, winning two of their four league games and drawing one to find themselves 11th in the table.

Kick-off at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium this evening (9th September) is at 7.45pm.
