LICHFIELD City Women suffered defeat in their first league fixture of the season.

Hosts Newcastle Town were a goal up a the break before Corinna Williams slotted home five minutes into the second half to level.

But the home side took control of the game with three more goals.

Isabella Margiotta scored a consolation for Lichfield with ten minutes left.
